Dimitar Miteff was born in 1965 in the city of Dobrich, Bulgaria. The painting technique Dimitar uses is unique as he applies a ‘ground' on the canvas and then he etches or draws onto it. The next step is applying the colours in a transparent manner on the canvas, which gives a translucent effect. The colour tones are warm, earthy, resembling the colours we find in nature. The themes are often abstract, provoked by Dimitar's dreams, longings, strivings and memories. His art is a visual journey of him finding his true self.

Instruments have characters… They have a life of their own and tell their own story. This is what the artist wants to express by painting the different instruments engaging with each other.
